Charles Muse, PhD, Sr., Ed.D., M.B.A.

Dr. Charles T. Muse, Sr., Ed.D., M.B.A. is a native of Hamlet, North Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. He received his MBA degree from East Tennessee State University and his doctorate in Adult and Community College Education with a minor in Public Administration from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. He currently serves as the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Florence-Darlington Technical College. He has authored two college textbooks on time management, goal setting and organizational skills a subject he has been speaking on for over thirty years in business and industry. Most recently he conducted a time management seminar for the Carolina Conference Mens Retreat and was a key note speaker at the Innovative Impact: Leaving A Legacy national pastors conference in Baltimore, his subject, Time Management for Leaders. He obtained the rank of Associate Professor of Education at Georgia Southwestern State University and continues to teach economics at FDTC. He is very active in international programming and has had several grants funded in support of international exchanges as well as international interactive television courses and seminars. Dr. Muse served over 31 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
He believes in community and church involvement and has served as President of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association, Catawba College, Darlington Rotary Club, the Florence Family YMCA, the Muse Reunion Association; Chairman of the Building Committee, member of the Administrative Board, Youth Director, Sabbath Superintendent, Youth Sabbath school teacher, Deacon, and Elder for the Florence SDA Church, and Chairman of the School Board for the Florence Adventist School. He is currently serving on the Board of Visitors for Catawba College. Dr. Muse and his wife, the former Susan Hutchins, and their three sons reside in Florence, South Carolina.
