Dr. Clifton A. Keller earned his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Notre Dame. He studied at Southern Adventist University, Washington University and a number of other institutions as he planed to teach mathematics and all science subjects in Adventist schools.
He began his teaching career at Battle Creek Academy. After receiving a National Science Foundation scholarship for his Masters degree, he accepted a position at Bass Memorial Academy. While there he began the computerization of Mrs. Whites writings and was honored by the General Conference being named Temperance Man of the Year. After 6 years, Clifton received a call from Andrews University. While serving as an associate professor of education, he earned his doctorate, worked with Dr. Robert Moon and Michael Dant to created The Lamp which was one of the first computerized Bibles. He continued computerization of Mrs. Whites writings and became heavily involved with educational use of computers. In 1990, he received a call to become the Division of Science and Math Chair, the position held until retirement in 1997. Together with Mr. Robert Sutton, Michael Dant, and Dr. Dwight Smith they created The Library of Natural Sounds using financial support provided by the Environmental Foundation of Jamaica, The Canadian Green Fund, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
