Beryl R. Williams specializes in organizational management and leadership. She recently joined the Suffolk County Police Department's (SCPD) Criminal Intelligence Section in Long Island, New York. Her role will be to develop aspects of SCPD's SCAN (Suffolk County Alert Network) Program a new crime prevention partnership with the private sector which seeks to increase public safety and homeland security. Most recently, she served as the executive director of the Overseas Medical Assistance Team (OMAT) a nonprofit, humanitarian organization.
Ms. Williams has an extensive communications and public relations background. As the president of Bee Communications she consults with faith-based and nonprofit organizations to develop and maximize their communications reach. She was the Assistant Vice President for Public Affairs at St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children in Bayside, New York and also served as the Associate Executive Director of Community, Public Affairs and Marketing at Kings County Hospital Center and its health network in Brooklyn, New York. Earlier in her career, she was a television news anchor/reporter and a radio news director. |
