Dr. Backil Sung, MD, PhD Earned his degrees from Korea University, Seoul, Korea. His primary research focus is on chronic pain development and opioid tolerance. Since his graduate study, he co-authored over 20 research articles in the internationally peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Neuroscience, Pain, Neuroscience, Neuroscience Letters and Neuroreport and also wrote a chapter in the book, "Translational Pain Research", which will be published by Nova Science Publishers while he has been researching at the Department of Pharmacology University of Minnesota, Departments of Anesthesiology Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital Harvard Medical School. He never overlooks the fact that his research not only helps cure souls suffering physically from intractable pain but also exposes the secrets of the Creation of the "micro cosmos" the human body.
Dr. Sung has taught on the college level and also volunteers his medical services to various people in need. He is gratified to find students spiritually maturing during their study, changing their philosophies, and putting their faith into action with their neighbors. He believes that the best method of producing a first-class professional graduate is by studying both science and the God who made it all. |
